Andy is an Open Science Specialist supporting open science strategy, data governance, and coordination across a distributed scientific team. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Bryn Mawr College and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Cornell University, where he studied protein conformational change and sequence-function relationships. Before his current role, he held positions at NCBI, the NIH Common Fund, and HHMI’s Janelia Research Campus, where he worked on data management, dissemination, and reproducibility.
